The LSU Tigers now know who their point guard for the 2018-2019 college basketball season is going to be.

Tremont Waters announced that he will be returning to the school for his sophomore season on Tuesday night.

The 5-foot-11 Waters entered his name into the NBA Draft last month, without hiring an agent, which allowed him to test the draft waters.

It was always assumed that Waters would indeed withdrew his name before the deadline, which is Wednesday, but his announcement on Tuesday evening just made it official.

A native of New Haven, Connecticut, Waters averaged 16.0 points per game last season, while dishing out 6.0 assists, which was the second-best mark in the SEC, 2.0 steals per contest.

Those numbers were good enough to earn Waters first-team All-SEC Freshman honors, as well as being tabbed the Freshman of the Year on the All-Louisiana team.
