Trahan Named SBC Player of the Week

Now, here's a surprise...NOT.

After a week where he went 8-13 with seven of those hits going for extra bases, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns' All American shortstop Blake Trahan has been named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week.

Trahan, a junior from Kinder, had seven doubles and a homer this past week in helping to lead the Cajuns to a 4-0 week.  Trahan also walked four times and was hit by a pitch.  His on base percentage was .604 and his slugging percentage was 1.308.

Trahan is second on the team with a .400 batting average and leads the Sun Belt with nine doubles.

The Cajuns are in action this weekend against UALR at Gary Hogan Field.
