Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns defensive back Tracy Walker has been drafted in the 3rd round, 82nd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.

A native of Brunswick, Georgia, Walker compiled 97 tackles and two interceptions in 2017, and finished his stellar career at UL with 276 tackles and 8 interceptions over 50 games.

Walker became the second Louisiana player in as many years to play in the East-West Shrine Game recently, with former Cajun, and current New York Jets running back Elijah McGwire playing in the game the year before. He is the second highest drafted Cajun since Charles "Peanut" Tillman back in 2003 in the 2nd round, 35th overall.
