For the first time since the 2004 NFL Draft, the team holding the #1 pick has traded it away.

According to a story by Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports, The Tennessee Titans have dealt the pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for multiple picks in this year's draft, plus a first and third round pick next year.

It is expected the Rams will use the pick to select a quarterback, either Jared Goff of Cal, or Carson Wentz of North Dakota State.

The news was first reported by Ian Rappaport of nfl.com.

With the deal, the Titans get the #15 pick in the draft, along with picks 43 and 45 in the second round, and pick #76 in the third round, plus the two picks for next year.  That, along with what the Titans already have in place, will give them six of the top 76 picks in this year's draft, including four in the first two rounds.
