Titans Release Zach Mettenberger

Former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger has been released by the Tennessee Titans.

Mettenberger was a sixth round draft pick in 2014 and got ten starts in a two season period.  The Titans did not win any of those games.  Mettenberger's QB rating of 75.4 is the lowest in the NFL since 2015.

Mettenberger lost his chance at the starting job when Marcus Mariota was drafted with the #2 overall pick in 2015.  The Titans recently signed Matt Cassel on the first day of free agency.
