Tigers Rally Past Golden Eagles, 8-6

The LSU Tigers scored three runs in the eighth inning to capture a come-from-behind 8-6, non-conference win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, on Wednesday evening, in Metairie. Bill Franques, of lsusports.net, has the story, below.

LSU erased a 6-5 Southern Miss lead Wednesday night with three eighth-inning runs as the Tigers posted an 8-6 win over the 19th-ranked Golden Eagles at Zephyr Field.

LSU, which improved to 24-14, travels to Nashville Thursday for a three-game SEC series versus Vanderbilt that begins at 6 p.m. CT Friday.

Southern Miss, which fell to 27-9, plays host to Marshall this weekend in a Conference USA series in Hattiesburg, Miss.
