Tigers Pound Colonels, 12-3

The LSU Tigers picked up a non-conference win on Tuesday night, defeating the Nicholls St. Colonels, 12-3, at Alex Box Stadium.

LSU center fielder Mikie Mahtook delivered three RBI, and third baseman Tyler Hanover and designated hitter Trey Watkins each collected three hits to lead the Tigers past Nicholls State, 12-3, Tuesday night in Alex Box Stadium.

With the victory, LSU (25-17) gave Paul Mainieri his 200th victory of his LSU tenure as the Tigers' head coach improved to 200-101-2 in five seasons at the helm. The Colonels dropped their second game to the Tigers this season and fell to 20-21 overall.
