Four schools have this week off as we get ready to head into November.  The others will be in action and it features the league's best rivalry on Thursday night.

Here's what's on tap.

THURSDAY

APPALACHIAN STATE (5-2, 3-0) at GEORGIA SOUTHERN (4-3, 3-1) (+5) 6:30pm, ESPNU---These guys haven't been in the Sun Belt very long and so not everyone will understand what this game means besides the obvious.  Here's the rest of it.  The two teams and the two schools don't like each other. At all.  And, with both teams relying on their defenses to win games, it will probably be a really physical game.  Georgia Southern finished with their four game swing away from Paulson Stadium.  They'll be glad to get home where they're unbeaten this year.  Don't expect App State to be impressed by that statistic.  App is bowl eligible with a win.  Don't expect Georgia Southern to be impressed by that, either.

SATURDAY

GEORGIA STATE (2-5, 1-2) at SOUTH ALABAMA (3-4, 0-4) (-3') 4pm  ESPN3--South Alabama had a tough loss (again) last week, but this one hurt more than most.  They had their biggest rival on the ropes and let them get away and, despite impressive out of league wins, they're still sitting with a donut in the Sun Belt win column.  Georgia State got their offense untracked last week for their second win and their defense has been solid all season.  Surely South Alabama can't go 0-5 in the league.  Can they?

UL MONROE (2-5, 1-2) at  ARKANSAS STATE (2-4, 2-0) (-20) 6pm  ESPN3--The Warhawks went out to New Mexico last week and it got away from them quickly.  They've lost their quarterback and aren't sold on who will be the new #1 going forward.  Defensively, they got exposed last week.  Arkansas State is 2-0 in the league and while they still aren't the team we all expected them to be, they're getting better every week.  They've had a week off coming into this one.  That 0-4 start is a distant memory for a team that looks like they know where they're headed.

NEW MEXICO STATE (2-5) at TEXAS A&M (6-1) (-43')  6:30 ESPNU--Ouch.
