The emergence of New Orleans Saints rookie running back Alvin Kamara as truly been remarkable. I don't think anybody could have predicted that he'd become such an intricate part of the offense this early on in his career. He's totaled over 600 yards rushing and receiving to go along with 11 total touchdowns.

On the other hand, Mark Ingram has carried most of the workload on the ground since the trade of Adrian Peterson. He's only 78 yards short of his second consecutive 1,000 yard rushing season and he's already tied his career high in rushing touchdowns for a season (9).

Now, the big question has been what to call this dynamic running back duo?

Well, it seems we finally have our answer. 'Boom and Zoom'

Mark Ingram said he was scrolling through his Twitter account this week, looking for creative nicknames for the running back duo and his favorite was 'Boom and Zoom'.

"I think 'Boom and Zoom' is my favorite one so far, it's kind of unique, and I haven't really heard that one before, so that's been my favorite so far."

The next question would be, who's Boom and who's Zoom?

Ingram said he wouldn't mind being the Boom to Kamara's Zoom.

"I don't want a name that makes it seem like the big power back because that's not me, I could do that, but that's not what I try to be known for. I feel like I could do it all. Boom is all of it. It's explosive, it's fast, it's powerful. I don't mind Boom."

So, there you have it. The newest nickname for Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara is officially 'Boom and Zoom'. At least for this week....

We'll see how 'Boom and Zoom' fair on a short week when the Saints travel to Atlanta, GA to face the Falcons for the first time this year on Thursday Night Football.
