The New Experimental Softball Rules: A ‘No’ Vote

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Committee recently approved new experimental rules for 2017, in an attempt to quicken games.

The new rules, of which the Sun Belt Conference will use, include limiting teams to six conference per game (offense and defense, combined), and one per inning, as compared to 14, which had been the rule, no huddling after an out at the pitching circle, and reducing the amount of time in between innings to 90 seconds.

On the surface, the rules sound good.

I, however, am against the new rules, at least for now. And here's why:
