If you don't know who the Monmouth Hawks are, you're missing out on the greatest bench celebrations in sports history. It's true art.

Since gaining national recognition for their over-the-top celebrations, Monmouth has continued to step their game up. If you're not going to get on the floor, you might as well provide inspiration for the starters. These celebrations exceed expectations that are hard to describe in words.

What Michelangelo, Da Vinci and Donatello were to art, Monmouth is to sports. They're not just changing the game. They're creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

Some of their early work is a bit amateurish, but the true greats develop over time.

Monmouth's celebrations have officially bridged the gap between sports and fine art. As a place of higher education, Monmouth University should be proud of what their young men are doing. These aren't sideline antics...they're performances.

Don't believe me? Look at their recent tribute to the Sistine Chapel.

Unlike the other great artists, the Monmouth bench is getting recognized in their prime. Will they run out of creativity? With all my heart, I hope not.

SIDE NOTE: Monmouth is actually a solid basketball team. They're 7-3, with wins over Notre Dame, USC and Georgetown...so we could possibly see them in the NCAA Tournament. It would be the single greatest bench to ever grace the sidelines of an NCAA Tournament Game. The first two rows should get charged extra for admission because they get to watch art history made right in front of their eyes.

Please, Monmouth. Keep being the best thing in sports. There's beauty on the bench.
