The Big and Small College Football Lines of the Week
Point spreads have become a part of college football. It wasn't that long ago lines in college sports were there, but they weren't publicly discussed. Boy has that changed.
But there's a line each week that doesn't get talked about much, and is probably overlooked the most by fans.
It's the column that says O/U. It stands for over/under and it's the total predicted points for the two teams combined.
As of Wednesday night, here are the biggest and smallest lines in college football.
POINT SPREADS--Largest: LSU -44 over Eastern Michigan, Appalachian State -25.5 vs. Wyoming and Boise State -24.5 over Hawai'i. Smallest: Clemson pick it vs. Notre Dame, Middle Tennessee -1.5 vs. Vanderbilt and Georgia -2 over Alabama.
OVER/UNDER--Biggest: A Vegas record 90 for Baylor/Texas Tech, 81 for Houston/Tulsa and 72 for WKU/Rice. Smallest: 37 for Boston College/Duke, 40 for Minnesota/Northwestern and 41 for South Carolina/Missouri.
