The highest drafted Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns signee says he's saying no to professional baseball for now.

Todd Lott, the 20th round pick of the Cincinnati Reds in the 2016 MLB Player Draft last week, said on his twitter account Tuesday morning he's decided to forego professional baseball to play for the Cajuns..

I wanna thank the Cincinnati Reds for drafting me but I will be enrolling into The University of Louisiana-Lafayette this fall‼️⚾️

Lott, a 6-4, 215 lb corner outfielder was considered by many to be the best offensive signee in this year's Cajuns' class.  The Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, FL) alum was a Rawlings-Perfect Game Third Team All-American in 2016.

The other Cajun sginee who was drafted, Junior College player Handsome Monica, is expected to make his decision soon.
