Four members of the New Orleans Saints will not participate in the start of training camp this week after the NFL announced players who will begin the football year on the PUP (physically unable to perform) list.

Starting left tackle Terron Armstead, starting cornerback Keenan Lewis, pass rushing linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha and wide receiver Vincent Brown will all start on the PUP.

Players on the PUP list during training camp and preseason can return to practice as soon as medically cleared. However, players who begin the regular season on the PUP list are required to sit out a minimum of six weeks.

Kikaha tore his ACL in June. He was expected to be a big part of the pass rush in defensive coordinator Dennis Allen's aggressive defense.

Lewis was placed on IR last season after suffering an MCL injury. He stated last week he was "ready for camp but might be limited".

Armstead played through injury last season and missed some early OTA and minicamp practices this offseason. The 24 year old is a bright young star who signed a big 5-year extension worth $65 million back in May.
