Tennessee’s Summitt Diagnosed with Dementia
Pat Summitt is the winningest coach in the history of NCAA basketball.
But now she has quite a battle on her hands.
Summitt has been diagnosed with early onset dementia. But the fiery coach plans to be at Tennessee for her 38th season with the Lady Vols.
Summitt said she believed her behavior had been erratic in the last few months and went to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where she was diagnosed.
Summitt has won eight NCAA championships as head coach at Tennessee.
