Ten members of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team received All-America Student Scholar Athlete honors for their success in the classroom during the 2013-14 academic year.

The NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete award is given to student-athletes that have maintained a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for the entire academic year.

Sarah Arceneaux, Aleah Craighton, Haley Hayden, Marie Hoag, Leandra Maly, Lexi Rouse, Macey Smith, Alex Stewart, Jordan Wallace, and Kassidy Zeringue all received the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honor.

This marked the second time that Hoag, who posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, and Wallace earned the accolade.

Louisiana opens fall play on Saturday, when they host Galveston College at 1 o'clock at Lamson Park.
