Cajuns Close Out Regular Season Against Wildcats
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun football team will close out their 2011 regular season schedule on Saturday, when they travel to Tucson, Arizona, to take on the Arizona Wildcats, in non-conference action.
This won't be the last game that Louisiana plays this year however.
On Monday, UL received its first bowl invitation in 41 years, as the Cajuns will represent the Sun Belt Conference in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17.
The Cajuns are 8-3 on the year, while Arizona, out of the Pac-12 Conference, is 3-8.
This is the first-ever meeting between the two school.
Kick-off time is set for 3 o'clock.

Cajuns Officially Accept Invitation To New Orleans Bowl
It's official; Louisiana's Ragin’ Cajun football team is heading to a college football bowl game for the first time in 41 years, after accepting a formal invitation on Monday night to play in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.
The last time a Cajun football team participated in a bowl game was back in 1970, in the Grantland Rice Bowl.
UL will represent the Sun Belt Conference in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, and will take on an opponent to be named at a later date.
The game will take place at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on Saturday, December 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The Cajuns are 8-3 on the year, and will wrap-up their 2011 regular season scheuled this Saturday, when they take on the Arizona Wildcats, in non-conference action.
