South Alabama rallied from an eight point halftime deficit Thursday night to knock off Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns 70-65 at the Cajundome. The Jaguars trailed 38-30 at the half but quickly closed the lead as the second half began. South Alabama finally tied the game at 50 with under eight minutes to go and led by as many as seven points down the stretch.

The LSU Tiger men's basketball team had their modest two-game win streak snapped on Wednesday evening, as coach Trent Johnson's squad fell to the South Alabama Jaguars, 79-75, in overtime, in non-conference action, in Baton Rouge. With LSU leading, 69-67, South Alabama's Freddie Goldstein hit a 16-foot jumper from the right wing to tie the game at 69 apiece with only one second remaining in
