LSU Smashes Ole Miss, 52-3
The top-ranked LSU Tigers kept their record spotless on the year, defeating the Ole Miss Rebels, 52-3, on Saturday, in Oxford, Mississippi.
The Tigers scored the first 35 points in the game, and out-gained the Rebels, 458-195, in terms of total offense.
Quarterback Jordan Jefferson was 7-of-7 passing, for 88 yards, and a touchdown, while running back Alfred Blue led the Tigers in rushing, with 74 yards on only four carries.
With the win, LSU improves to 11-0 overall, and 7-0 in SEC play, while Ole Miss falls to 2-9 overall, and 0-7 in league play.
LSU Takes On Ole Miss
The top-ranked LSU Tigers return to the gridiron this Saturday, when coach Les Miles' squad travels to Oxford, Mississippi, to take on the Ole Miss Rebels, in an SEC affair.
The Tigers are coming off of a 42-9 non-conference win over Western Kentucky last week, a win that kept them undefeated on the year, with a 10-0 overall record, along with a 6-0 conference mark.
Ole Miss dropped their fifth-consecutive game last week, falling to Louisiana Tech, 27-7, to move their overall record to 2-8. The Rebels are still winless in conference play, at 0-6.
Kick-off time is scheduled for 6 o'clock, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
