In an article to be released in this week's Sports Illustrated, Jim Tressel's troubles at The Ohio State University may run deeper than first thought.

The article claims at least 28 players had sold memorabilia since 2002.

The NCAA has sent a "notice of allegations" to Ohio State University and has spefically named head coach Jim Tressel as having committed "potentially major violations."

Tressel has already been suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season after admitting that he knew of improper benefits to five players for several months before the payments came to light.
