April 3, 2013 Rutgers has fired their head basketball coach after a video was released showing him shoving players, throwing balls at them and using a gay slur.
Mike Rice was let go amid the firestorm that ensued when ESPN's Outside the Lines broadcast the video Tuesday.
Rice had an impromptu press conference apologizing for his actions.
Rutgers athletic director Tim Pernetti received a copy of the tape from a
