There's one more week to go before the halfway point in the Sun Belt Conference season. Troy leads the league by two games over Western Kentucky.  Last season's co-champions, Louisiana and Florida Atlantic, are three games back.

At the midway point of the season, batting averages are down, scoring is down, homers are down...and ERA's are down in college baseball. In a midseason report released by the NCAA, home runs have been cut nearly in half, scoring is down by 1...

The University of California-Berkeley has a top-30 baseball team.  But until today, their program was scheduled to be discontinued at the end of the season. But it looks like baseball will continue at Cal, after all.
