Marc Stein, of espn.com, says that NBA legend Larry Bird is "honored" to be compared to Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitski, and that Bird is pulling for the Mavs in the NBA Finals.

One of the reasons the Dallas Mavericks are an improved basketball team this year, and have made it to the NBA Finals, is because of their improved defense.
