Yesterday, Claiborne was named as one of the fifteen finalists for the Walter Camp award, which is given to the best player in college football. Today, Morris was named as one of five finalist for the Bronco Nagurski award, which goes to the nation's top defensive player.

The top ranked LSU Tigers continued their dominance, pummeling the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville today by the score of 38-7. Jarrett Lee was 10 of 14 for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jordan Jefferson ran for one score, and finished with 73 yards on the ground. Running back Spencer Ware scored twice, and finished with 93 all purpose yards. With the win, LSU improves to 7-0, and 4-0 in SEC play.

The Tigers win over the Mountaineers is the third this year against a ranked opponent in a game not played in Tiger stadium. Morris Claiborne returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown. Jarrett Lee threw for 3 scores as the Tigers rolled.

The #3 ranked LSU Tigers physically wore down #25 Mississippi State in Starkville Thursday night to earn a 19-6 victory. The Tigers only led by 3 entering the 4th quarter, put pulled away in the final period. The Tiger defense was dominant all night, holding an explosive Bulldog rushing attack to only 52 yards on the ground. The lone touchdown of the game came on a 19 yard TD pass (pictured left) from Jarrett Lee to Rueben Randle. Spencer Ware rushed for 107 yards in the winning effort.
