St. Louis Cardinals skipper Tony La Russa announced his retirement from baseball today after a 33 year managerial career. Tony won his third MLB World Series championship as a manager last Friday night. He retires with the third most wins in MLB history. "I think this just feels like it's time to end it," said the 67 year old La Russa.

Rangers Win Game 5, Lead Series 3-2
The Texas Rangers are one win away from their first MLB World Series championship after winning Game 5 over the St. Louis Cardinals Monday night by the score of 4-2. Rangers catcher Mike Napoli had the hit of the game (pictured left) when he lined a tiebreaking two-run double in the eighth inning. One inning later he made the defensive play of the game throwing out a would-be stealer as Albert Pujols struck out.
