Alabama freshmen LaMichael Fanning was getting some late playing time with his team up by 32 over the Missouri Tigers. Perhaps he was trying to make an impression, perhaps he's a dirty players, or perhaps he doesn't know his own strength, but the Crimson Tide defensive lineman suplexed Tiger RB Russell Hansbrough. West Virginia University was formally invited to join the Big 12 today. WVU, a member of the Big East conference for the last 16 years, will accept the Big 12's invitation.

Missouri Eyes SEC Move, Wants Big 10 Invite

The AP is reporting that the University of Missouri hopes to join the SEC soon. The report also suggests that Mizzou would prefer to join the Big 10, but never received an invite.

With Texas A&M announcing they'd leave the Big 12 next year, The Big 12 will be down to 9 teams by July 2012. 25% of the original members (Nebraska, Colorado, A&M) will be gone in less than a year. Could that number continue to grow? Could the SEC be targeting Missouri?
