When the New Orleans Saints snapped the Atlanta Falcons 8-game win streak, with a 17-14 win on Monday night, they also put an end to the momentum the Falcons brought in with them. Pat Yasinskas, of espn.com, has the story, below.
The Saints defense played at a championship level in the Georgia Dome on Monday night, and helped propel the Saints to a 17-14 victory over the rival Falcons. Drew Brees hit rookie tight end Jimmy Graham for the go ahead touchdown at the 3:24 mark of the 4th quarter. With the win, the Saint punch their playoff ticket, and still have a chance at an NFC South title.
Despite the fact that the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons have a combined 22-6 record, heading into Monday night's NFC Southern Division showdown, both teams may be underrated. Mike Triplett, of the Times-Picayune, has the story, below.
