Chad Jones Still Hopes To Play In The NFL

Former LSU safety Chad Jones was severely injured in an automobile accident, in 2010, just a few months after being drafted in the third-round of the NFL Draft, by the New York Giants.

Jones' leg injuries were so severe, there was some question as the whether he'd even walk again.

But Jones has defied the odds so far, and is looking to defy them even more.

LSU Stays #1 In AP Poll

The LSU Tigers remain the top team in this week's Associated Press Top 25 college football poll.

This is the second consecutive week in the top spot for LSU, who ran their record to 5-0 on Saturday, by defeating the Kentucky Wildcats, 35-7.

On Thursday, the third-ranked LSU Tigers open up their SEC schedule, taking on the 25th-ranked Mississippi St. Bulldogs, in Starkville, Mississippi.

On Saturday, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns host the Nicholls St. Colonels, in the Cajuns' home opener, at Cajun Field.

Also on Saturday, there's the big national match-up, featuring top-ranked Oklahoma, and #5 Florida St.
