Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team wrapped up play at the 8th Annual Mardi Gras Invitational Sunday evening with two more victories to improve their record to 7-0. Freshmen pitcher Jordan Wallace threw a no-hitter for the Cajuns in a 9-0 win over Louisiana Tech. Senior Ashley Brignac followed that game with a complete game shutout in a 10-0 victory over Northwestern State.
Terry Bradshaw was asked about a Miami Herald article that suggested Louisiana Tech might be a target for the Sun Belt Conference. "They (Sun Belt) need us more than we need them, and we don't need to go that route," cracked Bradshaw.
The Miami Herald is reporting that the Sun Belt Conference might be ready to add an 11th football school.
Currently the Sun Belt has nine for football, twelve for other sports. But that landscape will change soon.
