Tigers Topple The Hilltoppers

The top ranked LSU Tigers are 10-0 for the first time since 1958 after defeating Western Kentucky by the score of 42-9. Jordan Jefferson got his first start of the season, finishing with one touchdown on 8-14 passing. Jarrett Lee saw some playing time late, finishing with a touchdown pass of his own. LSU may have had three key players suspended, but don't tell that to Auburn who was on the wrong side of a dominant 45-10 win by the Tigers that reside in Louisiana. LSU scored threw the air, on the ground, and on defense. Rueben Randle caught two TDs, one each from Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee. Freshmen RB Kenny Hilliard rushed for two scores, and CB Ron Brooks returned an INT 28 yards for a TD.

Tigers Topple Tennessee

The top ranked LSU Tigers continued their dominance, pummeling the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville today by the score of 38-7. Jarrett Lee was 10 of 14 for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jordan Jefferson ran for one score, and finished with 73 yards on the ground. Running back Spencer Ware scored twice, and finished with 93 all purpose yards. With the win, LSU improves to 7-0, and 4-0 in SEC play.

The top ranked LSU Tigers beat up the Kentucky Wildcats in Baton Rouge today by the score of 35-7. Cornerback Tyrann Mathieu set the LSU record for forced fumbles, and scooped up the record setting fumble for a touchdown on the play. Freshman wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. reeled in 3 passes for 75 yards and a score. Quarterback Jarrett Lee remained the starter, but Jordan Jefferson got snaps, running 4 times for 29 yards and a score. He did not attempt a pass.
