In his one season as head coach of the Raiders, Hue Jackson went 8-8. He was promoted from offensive coordinator to head coach by the late Al Davis. When Davis passed away in early October, Jackson made many of the personnel decisions in addition to his head coaching duties.
After vowing never to play for the Cincinnati Bengals again, former pro bowl quarterback Carson Palmer got his wish today as he was traded to the Oakland Raiders hours before the NFL trade deadline. Bengals owner Mike Brown finally caved in the 11th hour, sending Palmer to the Raiders for a 2012 first round draft pick, and a conditional first rounder in 2013.
