Ninth-ranked Murray State’s 72-68 loss to Tennessee State on Thursday left the NCAA Division I men’s field with no undefeated teams. Team on the Rise: Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt (16-5, 5-1 SEC) has won 10 of 11 games, with the only blemish being a one-point overtime loss to then-No. 18 Mississippi St. The Commodore
January 30, 2012 Kentucky remains number one in the nation in the latest AP and ESPN/USA Today polls.
Kentucky was a unanimous #1 in the ESPN poll and got 63 of 65 first place votes from the AP.

Oklahoma State point guard Keiton Page throws a long-distance lob pass to Brown, who catches it one-handed behind his head and slams it down.
Oklahoma State went on to a 79-72 upset victory.
There was one drawback, as Brown was given a technical foul for staring down an Oklahoma St. player. It was the second technical foul of the game for Brown, who was then ejected.
Notre Dame beat top-ranked Syracuse, 67-58, on Saturday to give the Orange their first loss of the season. Third-ranked Baylor also suffered its first two defeats in the past week, dropping games to number five Missouri and No. 7 Kansas. After second-ranked Kentucky’s 77-71 win over Alabama on Saturday, the Wildcats are a sure bet to take over the top ranking in the new AP Top 25 poll.

January 12, 2012 This is video of Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery, slamming a chair on the floor after he received a technical foul during a game last Tuesday night.
McCaffery wasn't happy with an official, but he was livid at his team, as you will see.
The Michigan State Spartans defeated McCaffery's Hawkeyes, 95-61.
