Cincinnati Red Great Barry Larkin Elected To Hall Of Fame

Former Cincinnati Reds shortstop Barry Larkin was elected to the baseball Hall of Fame today after receiving 86.4% of the vote by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Larkin, a 12 time All-Star and the 1995 NL MVP, spent his entire 19 year career with the Reds.

Record Low Attendance At Marlins Game?

Hurricane Irene forced the Florida Marlins and Cincinnati Reds to play a doubleheader Wednesday. It could also be the cause of a possible record low attendance. According to one tweeter/reporter (@790Justin), the unofficial headcount Wednesday at Sun Life Stadium was 347. However, he claims it's not the smallest crowd he's ever seen for a Marlins game.
