LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and the Miami Heat eliminated the Boston Celtics from the NBA playoffs on Wednesday night with their 97-87 victory in Game 5. Wade led the way for Miami, finishing with 34 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. The Boston Celtics made clutch free throws late to defeat the Hornets 89-85 at the Hive Saturday night. The soldout crowd in New Orleans left the arena unhappy, as the Hornets fell to 7th in the Western Conference, only one game back of Portland and a game and a half back of Denver.

In the month of December, the Hornets were Jekyll and Hide, with Jekyll being New Orleans, and Hide being any opposing arena. Today however, the Hornets played like they were at home, beating the Boston Celtics in Massachusetts. Boston owns the best home record in the league, but it didn't matter, as the Hornets end the 2010 calendar year with an 83-81 victory.
