The Minnesota Timberwolves won the NBA Draft Lottery, and a couple big name teams found themselves in the top three next to the up and comers.

Who will be headed to Minnesota? Will they go with the two-way choice in Karl Anthony Towns or the offensively gifted Jahlil Okafor? Whoever they choose, the Lakers will be the ones to inspect the leftovers. The former powerhouses of the Staples Center could even go with gifted guard D'angelo Russell. They might not be used to picking this high in the draft, but the second pick better pan out the way things are headed in Los Angeles.

Head to the opposite side of the country to find the third team selecting in the NBA Draft. The team driving the biggest tank in the league, the Philadelphia 76ers, sit in the third spot in the draft. Will they finally break out of their spot?

The New York Knicks are the joke of the Big Apple right now, so a solid pick could go a long way in getting them back in the good graces of one of the most critical sports cities in the world. Luckily, they have the fourth overall pick. To round out the top five, the Orlando Magic will pick somebody to play along with Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo and their young core.

Lottery picks can make or break the next few years for a franchise. These teams' fanbases sure hope they don't whiff, a la Kwame Brown.
