Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team earned their first sweep of the season Sunday, finishing off the St. Peter's Peacocks 4-0.

"It was good to see our guys get the sweep, not take an opponent lightly and never let up on effort," said head coach Tony Robichaux after the victory.

Hogan Harris pitched 5 complete innings, allowing 2 hits, walking 3 and striking out 5.

"(Early on), he was trying to throw strikes," explained Robichaux. "Once we talked to him during the 2nd (inning), he settled in and pitched nicely the rest of the way."

After Harris, Louisiana leaned on 4 pitchers out of the pen to handle one inning a piece. Jevin Huval, Colton Lee, Jack Burke and Dylan Moore went the rest of the way, not allowing a hit.

"Our pen did a nice job today," noted Robichaux. "We wanted to get a lot of guys in the game today and get ready for Wednesday. It won't be easy (vs LA Tech). We need to be ready."

Louisiana knocked in 7 hits, including the first home run of the season for Joe Robbins, who knocked a 3 RBI homer over the left field wall in the 4th inning.

Shortly before Robbin's HR, Steven Sensley ripped an RBI double to center field, as the Cajuns got all 4 of their runs in the 4th.

Alex Pinero added a single in the 8th inning, extending his hitting streak to 11 games.

#15 Louisiana (9-4) faces #24 Louisiana Tech (13-2) in Ruston on Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 6:00.
