Surprise? Tampa Bay Hires Rutgers’ Schiano

The Tampa Bay Bucs have decided on their new head coach and the name is one that flew under the radar.
Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano is the choice to replace Raheem Morris.
Schiano’s name wasn’t mentioned much when candidates were mentioned for the job. Even when Oregon’s Chip Kelly turned down the job, there weren’t any other current head coaches in the NCAA that were being publicly mentioned.
New England head coach Bill Belichick spoke highly of Schiano to the Tampa braintrust.
Schiano was 49-28 at Rutgers since 2006. This will be his first NFL job.
With National Signing Day less than a week away, this is bad timing for the Scarlet Knights.
