Surgent Named SBC Special Teams Player of the Week

Another member of Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns has been honored with a "Player of the Week" award.

Cajuns' return specialist Daryl Surgent received the award after his 67 yard punt return for a touchdown against Troy Thursday night.  It was the second punt return for a touchdown in Surgent's career (he had the other in the 2011 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl against San Diego State.)

Arkansas State quarterback Adam Kennedy and Troy's Tyler Roberts received the offensive and defensive awards, respectively.

Louisiana (7-2) (4-0 Sun Belt) will put its seven game winning streak on the line Saturday when they travel to Georgia State.
