The Phoenix Suns exploded in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Hornets by 16. With the late domination, the Suns defeated the New Orleans Hornets 120-103.

Hornets backup point guard Greivis Vasquez (pictured left) had a career night in the defeat, finishing with 20 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds, and a steal.

Also impressive for the fleur-de-bees was backup big man Gustavo Ayon. The 26-year old rookie product from Mexico showed off his quickness in 18 minutes on the floor. His first step to the basket was impressive. After he dominated in the first half, he barely saw the floor in the second. Never the less, he finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Starting power forward Jason Smith was 8-9 from the field, finishing with 16 points.

In the end, defense let the home team down Wednesday night. New Orleans allowed 28 points more than their average. For a team that struggles to find points, it's next to impossible to win a game when giving up 120.

It's a quick turnaround for the Hornets as they'll play their 4th game in 5 days tonight in San Antonio. Tip-off versus the Spurs is set for 7:30.
