Jared Andreoli's fifth hit of the day, a two run double with two out in the twelfth inning, rallied fourth seed Western Kentucky to a wild 11-10 win over #5 Florida Atlantic in the first game of the Sun Belt Conference baseball tournament in Monroe, LA.

Trailing 10-8 entering the bottom of the twelfth, Ivan Hartle singled with two outs to get the Toppers within 10-9 before Andreoli's heroics.

Raymond Church's fifth hit of the day, an RBI double to center field scored pitcher Hugh Adams with the go-ahead run in the top of the inning. and Church scored on a Dan Scheffler sacrifice fly to seemingly win the game for FAU (0-1).

Adams (0-1), forced to bat because the Owls had lost the DH earlier, lifted a one-out single to start the 12th.  Church then doubled off winning pitcher Phil Wetherell (1-3) to score Adams, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored an insurance run on a sacrifice fly by Dan Scheffler.

Nick DelGuidice's two run home run in the eleventh inning, his fourth and fifth RBI of the day, gave FAU (1-0) an 8-6 lead.  But Adams hit Jared Andreoli with a pitch, Kes Carter tripled home a run and Matt Rice drilled an RBI single with two out to tie it again and set the stage for the dramatic twelfth.

DelGuidice had a run scoring single in the fourth inning and a two run double in the seventh as FAU (1-0) rallied from a 6-2 deficit.

The Hilltoppers (1-0) broke a 2-2 tie in the fifth inning on a grand slam home run from Logan Robbins.

But the Owls rallied in the eighth, with DelGuidice's double the big blow off reliever Brian Edelen.  The Owls tied the game on a one-out homer from  Church off SBC Freshman of the Year Justin Hageman, his fifth of the season.

The Hilltoppers will meet 8th seeded  UALR tomorrow at 3pm, while the Owls will take on top-seed Troy tomorrow night at 7.
