Two games earlier this week featured schools playing their geographic rivals for the first time, and both games were tight.

Monday, Arkansas State (9-8, 5-1) handed Little Rock (15-2, 5-1)its first conference loss, as Coach John Brady notched his 400th career win with a 76-73 win.

Tuesday night, Georgia State (12-4, 5-2) was forced into overtime before beating Georgia Southern (6-11,2-5) 69-66.
