The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have won six in a row and one only needs to look at the statistics to find out how it is happening.

Louisiana has moved into second place with a 7-3 conference record at the midway point of league play.  And, they've dominated in the process.

Here's how you get back in contention.

SHOOT IT INSIDE --The Cajuns are shooting over 50% from the floor during the last six games and opponents have found it nearly impossible to stop Louisiana's inside game.  Bryce Washington is shooting .692 from the field during the streak, while Shawn Long has continued his incredible senior season, shooting at a .632 clip.

SHOOT IT OUTSIDE -- Remember when the Cajuns couldn't throw it in the ocean from three point range?  Not any more.  Louisiana is shooting .405 from beyond the arc.  Kasey Shepherd, Hayward Register, Jay Wright and Steven Wronkoski are all over 40% during that time.  The Cajuns are averaging 8.1 makes from the bonusphere in the last six games.

TAKE CHARITY -- Louisiana now leads the Sun Belt Conference in free throw percentage in league play.  Louisiana is hitting nearly 75% from the line (.744) over the last six games. Shepherd is over 90% during that stretch.

GUARD WITHOUT FOULING -- While opponents are still shooting a good percentage from the field (.442), the Cajuns are doing a better job contesting the three pointer.  But more importantly, they aren't putting the opposition at the free throw line as much as the Cajuns are getting there.  In fact (and this is a big statistic), the Cajuns have made more free throws (128) than their opponents have attempted (121).

CLEAN THE GLASS -- Louisiana has been a good rebounding team all season, but in the last six games, they are outrebounding their opponents by an average of 11 rpg.  Long has been better than ever, with nearly 14 per game (13.8).

IT AIN'T EVEN CLOSE -- The result of those statistics mean the Cajuns are not only winning, they're winning big.  The Cajuns have won by nine, 33, ten, 23, 26 and 15 points, an average margin of 19.7ppg.

Louisiana tries to make it seven in a row Tuesday night when they face UL Monroe to wrap up their five game homestand.  The Warhawks took an 82-70 win back on December 3rd.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:15pm.
