Best Known For: The winner of 902 college basketball games, Bobby Knight is second only to Mike Krzyzewski in career NCAA Division I victories. Often showcasing his fiery, contentious personality, Knight coached at Army, Indiana and Texas Tech from 1965 to 2008. He won three national championships at Indiana and was named National Coach of the Year four times. Knight coached the U.S. men’s national team to a gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Knight once threw a chair across a floor during a game. He now serves as an analyst on college basketball broadcasts.

Dan Gable
Age: 64
Profession: Retired Olympic Wrestler
Best Known For: A gold medalist as a lightweight at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Dan Gable is among the greatest mat wrestlers of all-time. Gable was a two-time NCAA champion at Iowa State prior to his Olympic victory. Gable later served as the head coach at the University of Iowa where he won 16 NCAA team titles from 1976 to 1997.

Dan Issel
Age: 64
Profession: Retired NBA Player/ Coach
Best Known For: A seven-time All-Star center, Dan Issel played from 1970 to 1985 for the Kentucky Colonels and Denver Nuggets in both the ABA and NBA. He was the ABA Rookie of the Year in 1971 and helped lead the Colonels to the ABA championship in 1975. Issel played college basketball at Kentucky, where he was twice named All-American. Issel later coached the Nuggets from 1992 to 1994 and 1999 to 2001. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993.

Dave Cowens
Age: 64
Profession: Retired NBA Player / Coach
Best Known For: A seven-time All-Star center, Dave Cowens played for the Boston Celtics from 1970 to 1980 and the Milwaukee Bucks from 1982 to 1983. Cowens was named the NBA Most Valuable Player in 1973, and he was a member of the Celtics’ teams that won the 1974 and 1976 NBA titles. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991. Cowens later coached the Celtics, Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors.

Mike Eruzione
Age: 58
Profession: Retired Hockey Player
Best Known For: The captain of the U.S. men’s hockey team that won the gold medal at the 1980 WInter Olympics in Lake Placid, Mike Eruzione scored the game-winning goal in the U.S. upset of the Soviet Union in the semifinal round.
