Jean Beliveau
Age: 83
Profession: Retired NHL Player
Best Known For: A 14-time NHL All-Star center, Jean Beliveau played for the Montreal Canadiens from 1950 to 1971. During his 18 seasons, Beliveau was a key member of 10 Stanley Cup championship teams. He won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player in 1956 and 1964. Beliveau was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972.

Frank Robinson
Age: 79
Profession: Retired MLB Player / Manager
Best Known For: A 14-time All-Star outfielder, Frank Robinson played for the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels and Cleveland Indians from 1957 to 1976. He is the only major leaguer to be named Most Valuable Player in both leagues: in 1961 with the Reds and in 1966 with the Orioles, when he won the American League Triple Crown. Robinson was a member of the Orioles’ teams that won the 1966 and 1970 World Series. Robinson became the first African-American manager in Major League Baseball history, managing the Indians while still playing, as well as the Orioles, San Francisco Giants and the Montreal Expos/Washington Nationals. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982.

Edwin Moses
Age: 59
Profession: Retired Olympian
Best Known For: Winner of 122 consecutive hurdles races from 1977 to 1987, Edwin Moses won gold medals in the 400-meter hurdles at the 1976 and 1984 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Moses set the world record in his event four times.

Hideo Nomo
Age: 46
Profession: Retired MLB Player
Best Known For: An All-Star pitcher with two career no-hitters, Hideo Nomo was a successful hurler in both the Japanese leagues and the major leagues. Known for his exaggerated wind-up and delivery, Nomo pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Kansas City Royals from 1995 to 2008. While winning the National League Rookie of the Year Award in 1995 with the Dodgers, Nomo led the NL in strikeouts, a feat he duplicated in the American League with the Red Sox in 2001.

Jennifer Azzi
Age: 46
Profession: Retired WNBA Player
Best Known For: One of the best women’s college basketball players of all-time, Jennifer Azzi played point guard at Stanford University from 1987 to 1990. Azzi was named Most Valuable Player of the Final Four in 1990, as Stanford won the national championship. Azzi later played for the Detroit Shock and Utah Starzz/San Antonio Silver Stars of the WNBA from 1999 to 2004. She was a member of the US women’s basketball team that won the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta in 1996. Azzi is now the head coach of the women’s team at the University of San Francisco.

Profession: Golfer
Best Known For: One of Europe’s best golfers, Pádraig Harrington has won 26 tournaments, including three majors, since turning pro in 1995.

Scott Niedermayer
Age: 41
Profession: Retired NHL Player
Best Known For: A six-time All-Star defenseman, Scott Niedermayer played with the New Jersey Devils and Anaheim Ducks from 1991 to 2010. He was a member of the Devils’ teams that won the Stanley Cup in 1995, 2000 and 2003 and the Ducks’ team that won the 2007 title. Niedermayer won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman in 2003-04 and the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2006-07. He was a member of the Canadian Olympic hockey team that won the gold medal at the 2002 and 2010 Winter Olympics.

Chris Duhon
Age: 32
Profession: NBA Player
Best Known For: Chris Duhon is a point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. He has played for the Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic and Lakers since making his NBA debut in 2004. Duhon played college basketball at Duke, where his teams complied a 123-21 record and won the 2001 national title.

Larry Fitzgerald
Age: 31
Profession: NFL Player
Best Known For: Larry Fitzgerald is a six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver who has played with the Arizona Cardinals since 2004. Fitzgerald led the NFC in receiving yards in 2008, the season the Cardinals made their only Super Bowl appearance. Fitzgerald played college football at Pittsburgh, where he was named an All-American in 2003.

Ryan Kesler
Age: 30
Profession: NHL Player
Best Known For: Ryan Kesler is an All-Star center for the Vancouver Canucks. Since being drafted by Vancouver in 2003, Kesler has been a stalwart defensive forward, winning the Frank Selke Trophy in 2011. Kesler was a member of the US men’s hockey team that won the silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
