Skydivers Compete in Wingsuit Race to Earth
This video takes racing to a whole new level. Usually, competitors run, bike or swim to a finish line to achieve victory. Hooray! However, in this video, it takes a little bit more than that to get to the end…
Wingsuits are just completely crazy. Say goodbye to the regular old race where running is usually anywhere from five to 10 miles per hour. With these suits, it’s been said that skydivers can get up to 140 miles per hour… and that’s without a vehicle.
Once reaching the ground and landing, the contestants are not done… there’s still a finish line waiting to be crossed.
The video was put together by Devin Graham — DevinSuperTramp. All of the shots were taken by cameras mounted on the skydivers’ helmets. Pretty cool, isn’t it?
Oh, and please, don’t try this at home. These people are total professionals.
