Sharper Wants To Remain With Saints, But Do They Want Him?

Safety Darren Sharper wants to play football, in 2011, and he wants to play for the New Orleans Saints. But as James Varney, of the Times-Picayune points out, it’s unclear if he’s in the team’s plans.

Sharper was a big reason the Saints won the Super Bowl in 2009, but  his play regressed in 2010, due to injury, and age.

Sharper can still play. But for how many games? And is he worth occupying a roster spot over a younger guy?

These are important questions the Saints will have to answer, once the lockout is over.
