Former top-ranked tennis superstar Serena Williams has been missing from the sport since winning Wimbledon last year. A number of injuries and health scares has kept her off the court for nearly a year, but with the help of a world-renowned trainer, Williams plans on defending her Wimbledon crown next month. He's in South Florida with tennis star Serena Williams, charged with whipping the 13-time Grand Slam champion into shape as she works her way back from a series of injuries and ailment that has kept her sidelined for nearly a year.

Serena, along with sister Venus, have been absent from the tennis scene for awhile with their injuries. America has no other pros on the women's side ranked in the top 30. Serena plans on a tune-up tournament before Wimbledon. Barring any setbacks, both Serena and Venus should be back to top form at the U.S. Open in August.

While the Williams have been away, the likes of Li Na and Fracesca Schiavone have come to the forefront of women's tennis, with Kim Clijsters and Maria Sharapova remaining in the spotlight. When Serena and Venus return to form, the top of women's tennis will be as competitive as ever.
