They've lost six straight.

There will be no winning season.

There will be no bowl game.

But Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns will end thehome portion of their season and for the senior class, this is the final time they'll go through the tunnel at Cajun Field.  And, the team will to its best to send this class away from Cajun Field with a win.

It won't be easy against a Florida International squad that has control of its destiny in the Sun Belt Conference race.  FIU (4-5, 4-1) played a tough schedule early and played teams from AQ Conferences into the fourth quarter.  Since conference play as begun, the Golden Panthers have won four out of five with their only loss against arch-rival FAU.  Coach Mario Cristobal's squad raised eyebrows around the league when they went to Troy and hammered the four time defending champions last week.

Sophomore Blaine Gautier is scheduled to start at quarterback for the Cajuns, but usual starter Chris Masson has been listed as probable for the game, so he will probably see some action as well.

This has been a tough year for the Cajuns and especially their seniors, who had high hopes going into the season.  But a rash of injuries has crippled this team and pride and memories are all they have to play for tonight.

Those 20 seniors have given much sweat equity and passion for as many as five years.  They deserve our gratitude and our thanks.
