Senator Wants Hearings on Bounties

Never shying away from the opportunity to grandstand, a United States Senator is setting up a Judiciary Committee meeting to look into the practice of bounties in sports.

Senator Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) is the assistant Senate majority leader.  He wants to see if such bounties would constitute a federal crime.
