Sean Payton Unsure How He Will Deal With Saints’ Crowded Backfield
For the first time all season, all four of the New Orleans Saints’ top four tailbacks are healthy, and that gives head coach Sean Payton a little bit of a problem.
Mark Ingram, Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles, and Chris Ivory are all healthy and ready to go, but the four backs are one more than Payton would typically like to have.
Having four backs that you have confidence in can be a good problem, but remember, if all of them are active, then you’d be taking away a roster spot from a player at another position.
Payton hasn’t said how the Saints will deal with the situation when they take on the New York Giants on Monday night.
